Meat Tenderizer

This tool at Smith’s Tavern is a meat tenderizer.  It has a wooden handle, with a metal ring at the butt end for hanging, has two hatchet shaped heads angled inward then there are three slotted ends – two of the metal pieces are attached to the handle by a wingnut (the middle blade appears to be permanently attached to the handle.  This tool has probably used as a vegetable chopper and meat chopper/tenderizer.
