Cleats

These tools at Smith’s Tavern were supposedly used in ice harvesting.  The pointed end of the cleat would be banged into an ice block and used to lift the block.

Our research has been unable to discover any more about these tools.  If anyone does know more about these tools, please email the Historical Society with this much needed information.
