Ivory Toothpick

This item at Smith’s Tavern is an ivory toothpick, circa 1890, donated by G. MacDonald.  It has some carving bands near the head and ends in a point. Before wooden toothpicks and toothbrushes were invented every wealthy person had an ivory toothpick.
