Small Wooden Barrel

A Taylor Wine Company’s one-gallon wooden barrel which held sherry wine.  Barrels that contain sherry wine tend to be filled only five-sixths in order to allow flor to develop on top of the wine.  The particular barrel shown in the photo seems to have come from Hammond in New York.
